No need to break the bank while visiting Anaheim/Orange County. We've searched high and low for all the best free (and almost) free things to see, do and experience, here in the center of Southern California.
Angel Stadium Tours
You can embark on a behind the scenes tour of normally restricted areas of “The Big A.” For just $7 ($5 for kids ages 3-18, and free for kids younger than 3), you will get to visit the Angels dugout, Visitors clubhouse, the Angel Stadium press box, and dugout suites.
The tour runs every Tuesday during the off season; during the season, it’s offered on the Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays that the Angels are playing on the road.
Advance reservations are required, and the tours sell out fast, so book in advance. To make reservations, please call Angels Baseball Community Relations at (714) 940-2070. Tours meet just outside the Home Plate Gate in between the red hats.
First Sundays are free at Bowers! Visitors can enjoy free access to the museum, Kidseum, and all activities on the first Sunday of every month, thanks to the Target Corporation. Regular admission prices are reasonable as well, making the experience at one of OC's best museums a must.

Hike/Mountain Bike in an Orange County Park
With nearly 40,000 acres of parks, historical and coastal facilities and open space, the Orange County Park system features endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Visit the OC Parks website for information on all the parks and trails in OC.
Ride the Balboa Island Ferry
The Balboa Island Ferry has been transporting passengers between Balboa Island and Balboa Peninsula since 1919. This historic and scenic trip is a great way to quickly get across the harbor and enjoy the beautiful scenery at the same time. You can ride the ferry on foot, bicycle or in your vehicle.
Prices: $1 Adult passenger, $.50 Child passenger age 5-11 (Children under 5 are free)
The Fullerton Arboretum is the largest botanical garden in Orange County encompassing 26 lush acres. It has assembled a permanent collection of over 4,000 unique and unusual plant species from around the world. With its ponds, streams and wildlife, the Fullerton Arboretum offers a tranquil retreat from a fast-paced urban life.
Nature tours are offered the third Saturday of every month (except January and August), starting at 10:00 a.m. and typically lasting about an hour. Tours are free, however donations are requested in the amount of $2/per adult and $1/child.
Hours: 7 days a week, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Orange County Great Park Balloon Rides
The Great Park Balloon is one of the largest tethered helium (not hot air) balloons and the first of its kind in the United States. It is environmentally safe, non-polluting, and virtually silent. It is located in the 27.5-acre Preview Park and provides a great view of Orange County.
Standing 118 feet tall with a volume of 210,000 cubic feet, the Balloon can hold up to 30 passengers in its 1,810-pound gondola. Flying at an altitude up to 400 feet, it is always tethered to the ground by a steel cable with the strength of 99,000 pounds, making it a safe and fun experience for everyone.
Parking opens 30 minutes before operating hours. Registration to fly opens 30 minutes before operating hours in the morning, and one hour before night flights resume in the evening. A registration waiver (available at the Visitors Center) must be signed by every potential passenger prior to getting a boarding pass.
