About Us

Anaheim/OC Visitor & Convention Bureau

The mission of the AOCVCB is to develop, promote, market and sell Anaheim and Orange County as a premier visitor destination benefiting the economic vitality of our communities and the quality of life for our citizens.

Since 1961 the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau (AOCVCB) has worked hand-in-hand with area hotels, attractions, transportation entities, restaurants, shopping and entertainment companies to promote the Anaheim area as a leading destination for conventions, meetings and vacations. Since those early days, the organization has grown tremendously as Orange County’s major destination marketing organization.

Anaheim first became a meetings and conventions destination in 1967 with the construction of the iconic Anaheim Arena, which still stands on Katella Avenue. Since then, the Anaheim Convention Center has gone through six major expansion projects in addition to several cosmetic renovations to update the center. Each expansion added another major exhibit hall and meeting space. Most recently, Anaheim unveiled the 100,000-square-foot Grand Plaza, a uniquely Southern California outdoor space, adjacent to the world-class Anaheim Convention Center. This unique campus offers meeting planners the opportunity for large outdoor gatherings including alfresco dining, concerts, receptions, exhibitions, meetings and more.

The AOCVCB officially expanded the corporate name in the early ‘90s from the Anaheim Visitor & Convention Bureau to the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau to better reflect the regional marketing scope of the organization. Today, the AOCVCB team handles convention sales, marketing, public relations, social media outreach, destination promotions, travel trade, convention services, convention housing and partnership services and administration. The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the activities and efforts of the AOCVCB in representing the multi-billion-per-year tourism industry of Orange County.
